The long awaited reveal of Sony's rumored virtual reality headset made specifically for the PS4 might be coming this month. Sony has just confirmed that they will be making a presentation at the Games Developers Conference.
Sony has invited the GDC attendees on the 18th of March to an event aimed to show the “innovation at PlayStation” and “the future of gaming”. The description does sound like a hint towards the reveal of the VR headset. Also the fact that some of Sony’s big guns (President of Sony Computer Entertainments Shuhei Yoshida, SCEA's senior director of R&D Richard Marks, and senior software engineer in R&D Anton Mikhailov) will be in the panel, further supports this hypothesis.
Sometime last month a Sony insider told TechRadar that the VR headset was near completion. Even then the belief was that it would be revealed at GDC if Sony was to make an appearance. Since they are and it is going to be an hour long presentation, there is a major possibility the rumors are true. What better way than to make it official at GDC and follow it up at E3 right?
