    So we all know that there will be 2 Assassin’s Creeds coming out this year. One of them has been confirmed via leaked images and is being called Unity. From what we know the story will be set during the French revolution and thus is set in France with a new assassin called Arno. There are rumors of a new navigation mechanic for Assassin’s Creed which will be revealed along with the game: buttons that allow players to “parkour” up and down.

    The leaked screenshot shows our Assassin lurking about in what seems to be 18th century Paris. We get glimpses of the Seine River and Notre Dame along with other notable landmarks. According to rumors, these pictures are from the early phase of productions so they lack the polish of the final game.

    So according to latest rumors Unity is being released for current gen consoles (PS4 and Xbox One) while the second game presumably called Comet will be released for last gen consoles, PS3 and Xbox 360. We can also expect both of these games to arrive on PC.

    The release of 2 games this fall as opposed to the yearly release of 1 game might just mean that Ubisoft is allowing its teams to really do their best. Instead of trying to make a game that works on both current and last gen consoles, each team is set with the task of making a game that is best for a particular generation. This way Unity could achieve something that it would not be if attempted to be fitted into the constraints of last gen consoles.

    Well you can see it in another way. The fact that they have been milking the Assassin’s Creed franchise with HD remakes of older versions of the game and also the new mobile game “Pirates” which has nothing to do with the franchise, might make it seem this is just another way for them to maximize their profits. But hey, we will hold our judgements till the end. We are the ones who buy the games and they don’t force it on us. Buy it if you like it, and vote with your wallet!

  • Infamous: Second Son – Free Upgrade to Limited Edition, Collector Editions Details, Cole’s Legacy DLC

    Sony has just revealed that they will be release two bundles for Infamous: Second Son, the first of many PlayStation 4 exclusives coming out February 2014.

    First is the Limited Edition which as previously mentioned will include in-game vests for the protagonist Delsin Rowe. In addition to that players will also get the Cole’s Legacy DLC. This DLC is not available for purchase separately, and highlights the events that occurred between Infamous 2 and Second Son. The awesome part is that anyone who has pre-ordered the standard game or will pre-order it in the future will be receiving the Limited Edition free of charge.

    This is what the description says, "Cole MacGrath’s actions in New Marias set in motion a chain of events leading to the now forceful occupation of Seattle by the oppressive Department of Unified Protection. Cole’s Legacy bridges this gap in time with a series of missions Delsin Rowe must complete that reveal unique insights into how the world of Infamous: Second Son came to be."

    And as for the Collector’s Edition, it is currently priced at $79.99 and will include a new in-game vest, a set of pins, exclusive box cover, replica of Delsin’s beanie, decals, and a DUP patch along with Cole’s Legacy DLC. Pretty nifty bundle for the price actually but, if you are not so sure about the Collector’s Edition just pre-order the game to get your hands on the Limited Edition for free.

  • WATCH DOGS MAP SIZE AND DENSITY

    Map size has become a huge thing, with games like Skyrim and GTA V leading the way. But it seems Ubisoft has a take on the world map when it came to Watch Dogs. They are going with the age old line, size isn’t everything.

    Although Jonathan Morin, creative director of Watch Dogs, did mention that the world map of the game will be "huge," he clarified that the size of the map was not to the key aspect here, the density of it was. In a recent interview Morin compared the world map of Watch Dogs to GTA V.

    "GTA5 has a huge world but it has flying, it has jets so it serves that purpose. You don't have a jet unless you have the space to fly into. Us, we have huge density, so if we double or triple the scale then you're going to start hitting repetition because we wanted to aim for the density first. We wanted the game to be the right size for that density, so it's a matter of balancing what you want to achieve."

    He also mentioned that they gameplay might require players to "stand still and profile people for ten minutes," during which time you are actually playing without moving. He said that this was of importance to him since the experience during that time was way better than just moving from one point to another.

    And yes, it has been confirmed that Watch Dogs will not include airplanes. Your only mode of transportation would be ground based. Another fun fact that came up was that the game will be running at a steady 30FPS on the PS4 and Xbox One. So if you are one of those gamers who dislike this frame rate, maybe you might want to stick to current gen version.

  • DARK SOULS 2 TO COME OUT ON MARCH 2014

    Hey there Dark Soul fans. You all would be happy to know that Dark Souls 2 has been officially set for release on the 11th of March in North America and on the 14th of March in Europe. The title is going to be available for both the PS3 and the Xbox 360. It seems the PC version will be released later but should follow soon, said the developers From Software.

    The game’s director Yui Tanimura had previously explained the reason for the delay in an interview with Eurogamer where he said, “

    "In terms of the PC version, how we make the PC version optimal in Dark Souls 2 we're still working on what options we allow players to have in order for players to customize the spec of the PC version."

    "Our goal is to release the PC version in the same window. For the PC version we're simply saying March - we're trying our best for PC and console. The reason we can't announce the specific date is we're working on more options on how to make the PC version optimal."

    Previously, the original Dark Souls also was released at a later date on the PC with the Prepare to Die edition. However that version ran with lower resolution textures but was quickly fixed by fans. Mr. Tanimura said that this problem should not be recurring this time with Dark Souls 2.

    "With the first Dark Souls, the development team started work on the console version before the PC version, and because of that there were less options for the development team to make the PC version more optimal in terms of resolution and so on," Tanimura said. "With Dark Souls 2, the team's working on console and PC at the same time, so there shouldn't be an issue with how optimal it will be on day one."

    If you were wondering whether it will be coming out for the PS4 and Xbox 360 you might be in luck as he mentioned the will to work with the next-gen consoles. "I think it has to be decided for next generation consoles like Xbox One and PS4. My personal opinion as creator is that I'm really interested in next generation and I'm willing to make games for PS4 and Xbox One."

  • KOJIMA’S REASON BEHIND QUIET’S LOOK IN METAL GEAR SOLID V

    I bet you have already seen Kojima’s new addition to the Metal Gear Solid franchise, Quiet. If you have not a quick Google search can remedy it. From the first few images you see I bet you can understand by what I mean new sexy addition.

    Kojima had always had one or more sexy ladies in his games but this time around it seemed the negative press towards Quiet’s appearance in Metal Solid V: The Phantom Pain was more than that seen for previous characters. And as if the argument and controversy around Quiet was not mad enough, Kojima had to say some things on Twitter as if to enrage those who were offended further more.

    He had said that he wanted Quiet to look more “erotic”. He later rectified saying that “sexy” would be a better phrase but the internet was already ablaze by then. His justification for the appearance was what got people even more riled up. At one point he said Quiet was made to look sexy to encourage more cosplayers and promote action figure sales!

    Now he has come out on Twitter again to further clarify the situation.

    "I know there's people concerning about 'Quiet' but don't worry. I created her character as an antithesis to the women characters [who] appeared in the past fighting game who are excessively exposed. 'Quiet' who doesn't have a word will be teased in the story as well. But once you recognize the secret reason for her exposure, you will feel ashamed of your words & deeds.

    Truth be told, when he says it like that there shouldn’t be that many people who can still hate on it. I personally had no issue with the character design, and know for a fact that Hideo Kojima is a brilliant creator. Just want to wait and see what his vision for this game really is. He could just be trolling with this character to get greater exposure to his game through controversy!

  • KILLZONE SHADOWFALL MULTIPLAYER DETAILS

    Microsoft has their TitanFall for Xbox One, and Sony has their Killzone Shadow Fall for the PlayStation 4. There are the launch games that are getting most attention from the gamers and a lot of them are basing their decision on which console to get, based on how badass these games are.

    We have seen a lot covered for TitanFall over the last few weeks and now it is time to take a better look at Killzone Shadow Fall. The one advantage that Killzone has over TitanFall is that the game will be featuring a single player campaign as well. Although that is not gonna be enough to win the crowd as TitanFall looks amazing!

    But recent footage has shown how the multiplayer is shaping up to be in ShadowFall and let me tell you, people are excited by the excellent multiplayer action! New details also surfaced regarding ShadowFall multiplayer, so let us jump right in.

    There will be at least 22 weapons available from the get go. In addition to that there will be 19 different weapon attachments. Guerilla has already mentioned that they will be constantly supporting the multiplayer component so definitely more goodies like these will be popping in as time goes on. One awesome bit of info is that they are planning on releasing DLC maps FOR FREE “to prevent the player base from becoming fractured.”

    Other cool fact is that single player mechanics will be making their way to the multiplayer such as the snap-in cover system among others. Also the drop-down melee will also be featured in the multiplayer.

    ShadowFall will be featuring 3 distinct classes and a dozen unique special abilities in multiplayer. In addition, each of these classes can be enhanced with 2 additional special skills which would give added variability.

    And last but not least there is are custom warzones with "supercharged customization features" and excellent Combat Honors that sweeten the deal that much more! Well they have to bring their A-game if they want to live up to the stiff competition. There was never a better time to be a gamer!

    Killzone ShadowFall is set to be released alongside the Playstation 4 which will be launching on the 15th November in North America, and 29th of November in Europe. Just have to hold on for a couple more months, just a couple more months.
